We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Instructional Aide to support early childhood education in our Child Development Program. Under the guidance of a permit teacher or site supervisor, you will assist in delivering lessons, leading activities, monitoring student progress, and ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and organize group learning activities for children Monitor and report student behavior and progress using established guidelines Plan and implement weekly lesson plans collaboratively Attend professional development sessions related to child development Prepare classroom materials (e.g., cut paper, set up visual aids, bulletin boards, etc.) Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the classroom and learning spaces Assist students during emergencies and fire drills, promoting safe practices Provide positive role modeling, emotional support, and encouragement Perform other duties as assigned Required Education/Experience: Completion of 12 ECE (Early Childhood Education) units Eligible for a Teacher Associate Credential on the California Child Development Matrix Knowledge of: Principles of child growth and development Best practices in health, hygiene, and safety in educational settings Child behavior and guidance techniques Classroom organization and activity planning English usage, both written and spoken Interpersonal communication and teamwork Skills & Abilities: Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff Understand and support the diverse needs of young learners Follow written and verbal instructions Keep accurate records and prepare reports Operate basic instructional and office equipment Be flexible and collaborative in a team-oriented environment Physical Requirements: Ability to monitor children visually and audibly Ability to kneel, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods Must be able to lift and assist young children as needed
