We leverage **WordPress** as a flexible content management system alongside modern web technologies to deliver top-tier performance, scalability, and user experience. Although the company is registered in **Delaware**, our owners and core operations are based in **San Francisco**, and the team works fully remote.

We are seeking a **WordPress / Web Developer** comfortable working across a **hybrid stack** — managing content and backend logic in **WordPress**, while building and optimizing high-performance front-end experiences using **Next.js (React)**.

This is a **100% remote, contract position**, ideal for someone who can work independently and take ownership of key web features while collaborating with designers and product stakeholders.

* Develop, customize, and maintain **WordPress sites, themes, and plugins** (PHP, hooks, templates, CPTs)
* Build high-performance front-end experiences using **Next.js (React)**, including dynamic pages and API integrations
* Integrate WordPress content into Next.js via **REST APIs, GraphQL (WPGraphQL)**, or headless CMS architectures
* Optimize site **performance, accessibility, and SEO**
* Debug and resolve issues across both **WordPress and Next.js** environments
* Collaborate with designers and product stakeholders to implement UI/UX designs
* Follow best practices for **security, scalability, and maintainability**
* Strong experience with **WordPress development** (PHP, theme/template customization, plugins)
* Proficiency with **Next.js / React**
* Experience working with **REST APIs** and modern CMS integrations
* Solid understanding of **HTML, CSS, JavaScript**, and responsive design
* Experience with **Git** and modern build tools
* Familiarity with **performance optimization and SEO best practices**
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to work independently in a remote, contract-based role
* Experience with **headless WordPress** architectures
* Knowledge of **TypeScript** in Next.js projects
* Familiarity with **serverless or cloud platforms** (Vercel, AWS)
* Experience with modern styling frameworks such as **Tailwind CSS**
